The Liberties became known as hell. To enter hell, you needed to walk under an archway where a carved oak devil stood and this is where our tale begins. On the label the oak devil stands watch proudly over the first of our Liberties Irish Whiskeys.
This 5-year-old blend of malt & grain whiskey is liquid gold. Full of aromas of baked apples, fresh hay & warm brown sugar, giving way to flavours of toffee apples, cider & caramel before a finish full of gentle nutmeg, cinnamon spice & lingering sweetness, imparted by years in the highest quality American oak casks.
Aroma: Baked apples, fresh hay, warm brown sugar, with a floral note.
Taste: Lots of upfront sweetness, powdered sugar, toffee apples, cider and caramel.
Finish: Gentle prickle of spice: nutmeg, cardamom and cinnamon spice, with lingering sweetness of hard caramels.
The Dublin Liberties Irish Whiskey Copper Alley

Now lost to the ages, Copper Alley was the oldest street in Dublin, names after the coin that was first minted there in the 17th century. The label is inspired by the colour of the coin that was minted on that street and its Celtic Irish origins.
This 10-year-old single malt is abounding with sweet aromas of delicate honey & powdered sugar with floral notes of apple blossom & red fruits.
This whiskey has been finished in 30 year old Oloroso sherry casks – these 500 litre European oak butts imbue deep fruit notes of baked plums, ripe red grapes & give the liquid its deep amber hue.
Aroma: Delicate honey and powdered sugar sweetness give way to a floral note of apple blossom and red fruits.
Taste: Deep fruity notes of baked plums and red grapes are imparted by Oloroso sherry casks, giving gorgeous oak notes rounded by golden syrup sweetness.
Finish: A lingering finish full of rich dark chocolate.

The Dublin Liberties Irish Whiskey Murder Lane

Murder Lane* has been called after an unmarked alleyway known as Murdering Lane, that connects Bow Street and James Street. There is evidence and lore to show that in the early 1600’s many men, women and children met a very unfortunate end on that lane.
This 13-year-old single malt is brimming with sweet aromas of almonds, marzipan & vanilla imparted by 13 years in American oak. The whiskey is then finished in rare Hungarian oak casks previously seasoned with Tokaj, a sweet wine, imbuing rich flavours of ripe apricot flesh, white peach and a hint of coconut. The finish adds a gentle spice to the experience.

The Dublin Liberties Irish Whiskey Keepers Coin

In the 1600’s under Christchurch Cathedral, there were a series of crypts that were used as illicit drinking dens. The cellar keepers each had their own coins and casks – which is where the name Keepers Coin derives from. Excavations under Christchurch Cathedral unearthed a purse full of silver coins and a number of leather bottles still containing alcohol.
Keeper’s Coin* 16-year-old single malt is full of aromas of soft toffee, fudge, toasted hazelnuts and baked banana with sea salt caramel. On the palate poached pear, warm treacle tart and big fruity notes of dried apricots dominate. 16 years in American oak casks bestow a substantial wood influence giving a salted butter mouth-feel. The dark, auburn hue is imparted by Pedro Ximénez 250L hogshead casks in which the whiskey finally rests. The finish is smooth and rounded with honeyed sweetness.

The Dublin Liberties Irish Whiskey King Of Hell

The story of The King of Hell, starts in the infamous Eagle Tavern on Cork Hill, near the edge of ‘Hell’ and this was where the Dublin chapter of The Blasters Club would meet. Mayhem, gambling, duelling, whiskey drinking and debauchery were the order of the day. Their leader was Libertine and notable nihilist Richard Parsons, who was known in the city as the King of Hell.
King of Hell* is a 27-year-old single malt has a commanding aroma of barbecued banana & baked apples in hot custard. On the palate, notes of coconut & leather are followed by deeply caramelised brown sugar, matured initially for 22 years in American bourbon casks, followed by 5 further in newer American bourbon casks, which bestows a huge oak influence and the impact of finishing in Premier Cru Bordeaux red wine casks, provides an abundance of sweetness.
